Delicious diversity
The Cendevaves is also a treat for my tastebuds.
From the exceptional breakfast with panoramic views of the Val Gardena mountains to the evening menus, which are rounded off with the finest wines: I look forward to the moments of pleasure at Cendevaves each day. The healthy creations are based on fresh, local and seasonal ingredients, because high up on Monte Pana you eat local, healthy and authentic. But from up here you can also look far afield. The result is an enjoyable symbiosis of Alpine down-to-earthness and Mediterranean lightness.
Natural products on the plates with panoramic peaks: at Cendevaves, the beauty of breakfast is experienced in a special way. In the new breakfast lounge on the upper floor I help myself to the rich buffet and enjoy spectacular 360° views of the Dolomites.
Every evening I have the choice between Alpine-Mediterranean dishes, typical South Tyrolean and Val Gardena specialities and a healthy fish dish. My highlight: the cold buffet, the barbecue evenings on the terrace and the themed evenings such as the Tyrolean evening or the candlelight gala dinner.
Host Christian and his sons Noah and Ruben are sommeliers and offer me professional wine recommendations. The in-house wine cellar “In vino Cendevaves” holds wines from South Tyrol and all over Italy, about which the host has plenty to say at the regular tastings.
What a privilege: the excellent drinking water from the hotel's own spring on the Sassolungo mountain finds its way into the hotel completely untreated. I can enjoy it throughout the house: for breakfast, for dinner and from my own drinking fountain in the room.
